Regenerative Agriculture: A key initiative under Regenerative Agriculture is the PRANA (Promoting Regenerative and No-burn Agriculture) project, where MVS is working across six districts of Punjab, reaching approximately 1.5 lakh farmers in 2000 villages. This large-scale effort focuses on crop residue management, promoting zero-burn techniques, and enhancing soil organic matter through eco-friendly practices.
In-situ management is the major component of the project, emphasizing techniques such as the use of Happy Seeder, Smart Seeder, and mulching to enhance soil health. For paddy cultivation, the project promotes alternate wetting and drying (AWD) and direct seeded rice (DSR) as sustainable water management practices.
